Biography

The Last 3 Lines are a Spanish indie rock band from Barcelona, composed of Xavi Bartrina (vocals), Sergio Pardo (vocals, guitar), Jordi Ayuste (drums), Marc Mateu (synth), Daniel Gil (vocals, guitar) and Claudio Baccigalupo (bass). They take their inspiration from the most energetic britpop rhythms mixed with distortion, the post-punk decadent sound of bands like Sonic Youth, garage and psychodelia and the sounds of the 70's. The band's debut 'Here we are' was selected in 2007 as the best demo by the leading Spanish music magazine MondoSonoro. Their debut album, You Are a Deep Forest, was released in 2008 by Sinlovers Records (Barcelona/NYC) and received critical acclaim. The band toured out most of 2008 and 2009, supporting international artists such as Teenage Fanclub, Infadels and Frightened Rabbit. Concerts were performed throughout Spain and in large festivals like Barcelona Acció Musical (BAM) and Mollerussa Elèctric Motel. In September 2009 The Last 3 Lines released the EP Crows (Aloud Music) which included the single Fish Tank. This first track came accompanied by an award-winning video clip, selected by the CineMad festival and granted the first prize at the 2009 Zaragoza Film Festival. Fish Tank was also selected by MTV among the best Spanish video clips of 2009, and The Last 3 Lines nominated as breakthrough band of the year. The success of the EP Crows was confirmed by their first concert in France, which took place in Paris in November 2009. The band was also invited in the popular TV program "Buenafuente" (La Sexta) to perform Fish Tank. As of March 2010, the band is involved in a series of concerts which will see them perform in some of the major Spanish clubs and festivals. Read more on Last.fm.
