Suzy & Los Quattro

Biography

This girl-fronted Punk-Power-Pop combo from Barcelona have turned the independent pop scene upside down since they started as an anniversary present between Suzy Chain (vox) and BB Quattro (bass). After a couple singles and a mini-CD (one of them collaborating with TV Smith from The Adverts and an EP placing the B-side to the first recording to ever join in the same band Tommy, Marky and CJ Ramone) the band toured non-stop not only in Spain but also in France, UK and Germany, pleasing the crowds with Suzy Chain's amazing front-woman skills and their hook-filled and well-crafted hi-energy pop songs. Their first album, "Ready To Go!" (2004) got raving reviews all over the world and was licensed in Japan via Wizzard In Vinyl. During 2005 they embark on a 2 weeks japanese "Lipstick To Japan Tour", which confirmed their "pop idols" status in the land of rising sun, selling out two nights in Tokyo and receiving an almost beatlesque warm welcome. You can see it for yourself on their Lipstick To Japan video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vygzxCQHViU This tour was followed by a compilation of all their singles, "The Singles" (2006), licensed in Germany with Screaming Apple, a record that kept them on the road again, playing two times at the legendary Cavern Club in Liverpool, where John Otway from the BBC included their show on his top 10 of the festival (out of 150 bands on the bill!). The band is currently mixing their new album, to be released in March. It has been produced by LA pop genius Robbie Rist (The Andersons, The Mockers, Wonderboy) and after all the time and efforts they are spending on it, it promises to be one of the best independent pop releases of the decade! Lindsay Hutton (The Next Big Thing) will be writing the liner notes, as he is constantly declaring his unconditional love for the band. Now working as a four-piece band, but faster & louder than ever before, the band is following a plan to do 90 shows in 9 countries in 1 year. Read more on Last.fm.
