Biography

There are four artists or groups called Sandro. 1) Sandro (born Roberto Sánchez, Buenos Aires, 19 August 1945 - Mendoza, 4 January 2010) was a notorious pop singer-songwriter and occasional actor and film director from Argentina. He is very often cited as one of the first artists from Argentina to incorporate rock music and he was also the first Latin American to perform in Madison Square Garden. Sandro released 52 full-length albums and sold more than 8 million copies. His single 'Rosa, Rosa' sold more than 2 million records and became his biggest hit. In 2005, Sandro was awarded a Latin Grammy for his musical excellence throughout his career. 2) Alessandro Heinrich Rütten (born 4 October 1996 in Heinsberg, Germany), better known as Sammy Clay, Sandro Nicolas or simply Sandro, and now as TYLR, is a German singer-songwriter. He was meant to represent Cyprus at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Running", until the contest got cancelled. 3) Sandro formed in Melbourne, Australia in 1995. Band members were: Nick Carrol (bass), Gareth Edwards (guitar,vox) and Cameron Potts (drums). They released a number of albums including: "Live by Rivers" 1996, "Hate Songs" 1997 & "The Flux" 1999 & "Blood Plums" 2000. 4) Sandro is an authorial project by the brazilian musician Sandro Silveira, achieving some small success with his solo music " Dança", in 2018, and the song "1989", a partnership with the band "Tuyo", in 2020. According to his Facebook page description, "The songs travel through a playful universe where the artist explores the various facets of his character". Genres: Indie Pop, Synthpop.
