PLK is a French rap artist from the Parisian suburbs who has risen to become one of the biggest names in the French rap scene. Born Kévin Belinga in 1991, PLK started rapping at a young age and released his first mixtape, 'C’est la Loi', in 2013. Over the years he has collaborated with some of France’s biggest hip-hop acts, including Maes, Roméo Elvis and Ninho.
PLK’s music is heavily influenced by trap and drill and is known for its hard-hitting beats. His debut album 'Polak' (2018) was certified platinum in France, while his follow-up 'La vie en PLK' (2020) debuted at number 1 on the French charts. The album features some of PLK’s most successful singles, including 'On m’appelle l’Oiseau' and 'Positif'.
Over the years, PLK has worked with some of the biggest names in French rap, including Rim'K, Nekfeu, Booba and Damso. He also collaborated with American rapper Future on 'No Dab', which was included on Future's 2019 album ‘The WIZRD’.
In 2019, PLK won Best Male Artist at France's biggest urban music awards ceremony, Les Victoires du Rap. He has also been nominated for several other distinctions including Best Urban Album at the 2020 Victoires de la Musique awards. With over 1 million monthly listeners on Spotify, PLK is one of France’s hottest hip-hop artists.
