Since the release of his debut studio album in 2016, Myke Towers was destined to become one of the standout figures in the new generation of Latin urban music. His authentic life story, impressive vocal range, and impactful lyrics took him from being an aspiring freestyle rapper on Soundcloud to securing 45 positions on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart (nine of which reached the Top 10) and beyond. Now, with his fourth album, "La Vida es Una" (Life is Only One), Towers proves that he remains a force to be reckoned with, affirming the idea that indeed, you only live once. This new work comes two years after his previous album, "Lyke Mike," which was entirely rooted in his trap and hip-hop essence. "La Vida es Una" is packed with a more experimental sound, with tracks like "No Salgo" and "Lo Logré" maintaining his rap essence.

The album kicks off with "Voodoo," a captivating Afrobeats melody where the Puerto Rican artist sings about conquering the person he's interested in. Following the same vein is "Mi Droga," blending reggaeton with flamenco touches. In tracks like "Más Allá" and "Mundo Cruel," Towers explores EDM beats, while in "Sábado," he introduces a cheerful and retro '80s funk groove that empowers women. Additionally, in "Flow Jamaican," he fully embraces reggae. Towers displays a unique yet surprisingly effective versatility. Of course, his signature reggaeton and perreo melodies that made him famous couldn't be missing, evident in songs like "Tu Rehén," "Bella Kyal," and "El Alta." In "La Vida es Una," Towers collaborates with big names such as Daddy Yankee, Arcángel, Ozuna, and J Balvin, along with newcomer Chita, who shines in "Cama King," a smooth R&B track inspired by the early 2000s.
