Jordi Maranges is a songwriter from Mallorca, Spain. Started as a frontman of the band "El diablo en el ojo" editing two albums and participating to many festivals. After leaving the band, and moving in Barcelona started new projects such as "El piano ardiendo" with pianist Marc Melià , "Jaques Casanova and the dandys" and "Transmediterranean express". Maranges realeasing his first solo album "El baile de los cangrejos" comes back after a while being away from the scene (some say he wasted his hours in a downward spiral of hovels and dives, writing undecipherable notes on sticky bars) with a suitcase-load of stories and shady characters and a sound which, despite dreaming of Broadway, the French “Chanson” and the Berliner Cabaret, openly flirts with pop and the sinuous atmospheres of the Mediterranean music. He is accompanied by some travelling, incorrigible “Dandys”, souls gifted with an out-of-this-world sensibility who clothe Maranges compositions with their presence, furnishing them with elegance and sobriety.
