There is more than one artist by the name of Jack Harris: 1) an English vocalist known for his work with the British progressive rock band, The Alan Parsons Project 2) a Welsh singer-songwriter from Builth Wells, Wales 3) a British sound artist 1) Jack Harris (born 3 October 1951, Shoreditch, Hackney, London) is an English vocalist known for his work with the British progressive rock band, The Alan Parsons Project. He sang lead vocals on "Day After Day (The Show Must Go On)" on the album "I Robot" (1977) and on the single "Pyramania" taken from the Grammy-nominated album "Pyramid" (1978). He also sang backing vocals on the band's debut release "Tales of Mystery and Imagination" (1976), including their debut single "(The System of) Dr. Tarr and Professor Fether". He was previously signed to Decca Records as a solo artist. A regular collaborator of Ian Bairnson, his single "Sail Away", released in 1975, was produced by Alan Parsons and featured all the members of Pilot. He later appeared on Pilot's "Ten Feet Tall" from their final album Two's A Crowd (1977). Later that year "Sail Away" was re-released. He is a first cousin of Ron "Chopper" Harris ( a former English footballer who played for Chelsea in the 1960s and 1970s). 2) Jack Harris (born in 1986 in Builth Wells, Wales) is a Welsh singer-songwriter who made a splash in the world of contemporary folk music with a showcase at the 2004 South by Southwest Music festival in Austin, Texas. The following year, in 2005, he made a winning performance at the Kerrville New Folk Competition in Kerrville, Texas. He performs regularly in the UK, Europe and the USA. His third album, The Flame and the Pelican (released in 2011), featured at number six in the July 2011 EuroAmericanaChart 3) Jack Harris is an improvising musician, composer, and sound recordist based in the UK.
