Glory Days

Biography

Glory Days is the name for multiple artists. 1) Three-piece Oi!/Street Punk based in Warsaw. 2) rock band from New York 3) musical originating in Arlington, Virgnia 4) pop punk band from Chicago, Illinois 5) A post-hardcore band from Columbia, Missouri. 2) The rock band known as Glory Days will be releasing their new EP, Broke In New York, on April 3rd. Greatly influenced by the rich history of rock n' roll culture from their native state, New Jersey, the group has certainly welcomed a sound true to their own. The album was partially recorded at the new Converse Rubber Tracks Studios in Brooklyn, NY. Reminiscent of Parachute and hints of The Fray and Kings of Leon, you will not want to miss out on this release. Consisting of Andy Tongren (vocals), Dylan Scott (guitar), Julian Dimagiba (bass), and Steve Patrick (drums), the band formed in January of 2011. The group quickly rose to create a loyal fan base across the world, hitting over 10K likes on Facebook and 23K followers on twitter a mere twelve months after becoming a band. Touring with the likes of Stereo Skyline and Cash Cash, Glory Days has been featured as the Top 100 Artists on iTunes following their debut release, Living Room Sessions (2011), as well as receiving international airplay in Brazil, Indonesia, and various stations in the US and Canada. With catchy lyrics, memorable beats and a rhythm that will get you dancing, Glory Days knows exactly what they are trying to accomplish on this EP. Tongren explains, "More often than not, when people write songs they try to emulate a certain sound or idea. It seems as it's a developing stage with every band or artist that allows them to find their identity. With our album 'Broke In New York,' the only band we had in mind while writing it was Glory Days. At this early point in our career, we have truly discovered what we want to accomplish as a band, what kind of message we want to send, and how we want to impact the world. Listen to 'Broke In New York'. You'll get it." One of the hottest unsigned rock acts in the US today -- be ready for Glory Days, a household name. 3) Glory Days is a musical with music and lyrics by Nick Blaemire and a book by James Gardiner about four high school friends reuniting a year after graduation. The musical premiered at the Signature Theatre, a professional regional theatre in Arlington, Virginia, from January 15 through February 17, 2008, where it was directed by Eric Schaeffer, the Artistic Director of the theatre, with musical staging by assistant director Matthew Gardiner. Musical accompaniment consisted of a four-piece band. The show earned generally good notices at the Signature Theatre, including a rave review from The Washington Post. Glory Days began previews on Broadway at the Circle in the Square Theatre on April 22, 2008, with an official opening on May 6, 2008. Schaeffer again directed, and the Broadway production featured the same actors who starred in the Signature Theatre production. The Broadway engagement was produced by John O'Boyle, Ricky Stevens, Richard E. Leopold and Lizzie Leopold, and Max Productions in association with Signature Theatre. The production featured sets by James Kronzer, costumes by Sasha Ludwig-Siegel and lighting by Mark Lanks. The musical closed on May 6, 2008, after only 17 previews and one official performance on Broadway. The producers, cited "low advance sales" in announcing the show's closing. 4) In 2016, four friends from the Northwest suburbs of Chicago came together to start a band. Embracing the nostalgic sounds of early 2000s pop punk, Glory Days was born with the intent of creating music just as moving as their scene heroes. James Pickering (vocals/guitar), Vince Gannon (vocals/bass), CJ Jarmuth (guitar) and Jared Tousey (drums) finalized the lineup in 2017, becoming known for their lively personalities onstage and off. The band’s music focuses on the personal challenges of growing up and confronting one’s inner demons. Finding inspiration in the songwriting of The Starting Line, Yellowcard, The Flatliners, and Green Day, Glory Days sheds light on mental health issues and personal growth through punchy guitar leads and emotional vocal performances. Their debut EP “The Roads We’ve Traveled” was recorded by Seth Henderson (State Champs, Broadside, Sleep On It, Knuckle Puck) and acts as their strong introduction to the scene. Songs like “Bottom Left” and “Divided” tell relatable stories through a classic pop punk lens. Their latest release "Left Behind” melds the familiarity of the warped tour scene with bursts of refreshing pop melodies that are destined for arenas. Glory Days hopes to make you feel something. Dance to their music in your room and discover something new about yourself. https://linktr.ee/glorydaysil 5) Glory Days is an inactive post-hardcore band from Columbia, Missouri. The group was headed by Alex Kelly, who is currently known for making rap music under the alias Oliver Francis. Read more on Last.fm.
