Ghøstkid

Biography

Ghøstkid is a music project founded by Sebastian "Sushi" Biesler in 2020. The project originated in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. The band's music combines elements of trap metal, post-hardcore, and alternative rock. The current lineup of Ghøstkid consists of Sebastian "Sushi" Biesler on vocals, Jan Marco "Jappo" Heinz on guitar, Christian "Chris" Kisseler (since 2021) on guitar, Stanislaw "Stanni" Czywill on bass, and Joakim Stephan "Steve" Möller on drums. Danny Güldener was a former member on guitar until 2020. Maximilian Kotzmann joined as an official addition for live performances on drums in 2021. After leaving Eskimo Callboy (now Electric Callboy) in February 2020, Sebastian "Sushi" Biesler announced his new project, Ghøstkid. He gradually revealed the musicians involved in the project through social media. On November 13, 2020, Ghøstkid released their debut self-titled album, co-produced by Phil Sunday and produced by Sky van Hoff. It features notable guest musicians, including Marcus Bischoff from Heaven Shall Burn on the song "Supernova" and Mille Petrozza from Kreator on the track "Crown." The album includes two versions of the title "This Is Not Hollywood," one in German featuring Timi Hendrix from Trailerpark, and the other version featuring Johnny 3 Tears from Hollywood Undead. The band's first tour, scheduled for April 2021, was postponed to December 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In May 2021, Ghøstkid announced a Social-Distance Tour for the summer of 2021. During the creative process, Sebastian "Sushi" Biesler drew inspiration from artists such as Marilyn Manson, Fever 333, and Bring Me the Horizon. He combined these influences with darkness, aggression, attitude, and a pop affinity, incorporating elements from nu metal, trap, industrial, and rock. Read more on Last.fm.
