Biography

There are at least four artists using this name. 1. Frida, born Anni-Frid Lyngstad, was a member of the Swedish super group ABBA. In the 80's she had solo hits such as "Shine", "I Know There's Something Going On" and "Here We'll Stay". Frida made a comeback in 1996 with the singles "Även En Blomma", "Ögonen" and the Marie Fredriksson-duet "Alla Mina Bästa År". In March of 2010, Frida, along with former ABBA members Agnetha Faltskog, Benny Andersson, and Bjorn Ulvaeus, received the esteemed honor of induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Congratulations to Sweden's most famous four! 2. Frida, born Frida Muranius, is another Swedish singer who is about to record an album and already, before its release, has a hit with the song "dunka mig gul och blå". 3. Frida is a four piece rock/pop band from the Ruhr Area/Germany. They started in 2005 as Linarockt and changend their name in 2007. So far their only releases are self-produced demos. In July 2010 the band changed its name once again an is now called Frida Gold. Their first major single release on Warner Music can be expected in September 2010. 4. Frida (Frida Sundemo) is a sweet-voiced and sweet-natured young woman from Sweden. Her playful pop music sounds light and approachable, but derives from a dark and complex reality.
