Biography
Fitness Forever, from Italy, Torre Del Greco-based, is Carlos Valderrama's challenge to POP perfection. At play in lead vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, drums, harpsichord, glockenspiel, melodica, piano, minimoog, CEI organ, mellotron, - together with Scialdone (bass, lead guitars, 12 string guitars, acoustic guitars, vocals), Paster (female vocals), Big Tony (lead piano, strings arrangements, fender rhodes, hohner clavinet, siel orechestra, vox continental). The particular style of Fitness Forever is marked by its charismatic singer and composer, the multi-instrumentist Carlos Valderrama, former leader of the group Valderrama 5. His music reminds the delicious Italian pop of the 60s, with exquisite arrangements and perfect melodies. The group has already been labeled as the Italian version of the Spanish band La Casa Azul . Among other groups that have influenced the music of Fitness Forever, Carlos says he is fan of Brian Wilson, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Circulatory System, The Free Design, Joao Gilberto, John Carter, Billy Nicholls, La Casa Azul, Frank Zappa, Serge Gainsbourg, Junior Boys, Peppino di Capri, Stereolab, Scott Walker, Burt Bacharach, Lilys, The Heavy Blinkers, Super Furry Animals, Supergrass, My Bloody Valentine, The Olivia Tremor Control, The Who, The Beatles ...
