La Escafandra is a band from Costa Rica, with two main front men, Miguel Solari (guitar & voice) and Ernesto Ficks (sax). They've had various bass and drum players through the years. The band just released its first CD, "Collage" in December 2007. It includes 11 songs, and goes from the ballad thru the hard rock experimenting with different textures from funk, R&B, bossanova and jazz. There are no limits in the artistic conception of the music of this project, and the idea is to continue experimenting and finding new ways to express pure love for the music.
