Eat the Evidence

Biography

Eat The EVIDENCE was formed in block 60 Kennishead ave by lifelong friends Garry McDevitt and Eddie Hyland. Exactly when is a bit of a mystery because there was often musical goings on between our group of friends. However, we started jamming together and setting out to write crude songs about offensive subjects. The first song we wrote together was entitled 'The Month Of June' was about a middle aged woman who worked in Tesco who got a bit worse for wear after and shagged this young guy in the kitchen at a party I was at then then when he was finished the 'Beast With a Tan' followed for some seconds. Perfect song-writing material in our eyes. Among the countless hours of jamming that followed were some clssic gems including 'Inch of Jed', 'Magic Moses' and probably some other alright songs as well, and we didn't even have a name yet. Sawney Bean was a robber from Scotland back in the olden days, who lived in a cave with his missus and offspring, and their incestuous offspring, regular Village of the Damned material here. They would rob passing travellers and in case they were discovered they would murder the victims, and to dispose of the evidence... that's right, they were cannibals folks. This story was told to us by some old guy in the pub who thought we should call ourselves 'Sawney Bean', but we thought Eat The EVIDENCE was much more our style. After a few lineup changes, which I won't bore you with, we have ended up a 5-piece with an all-female rhythm section and have hit the studios to resurrect the old classics and try out ideas that had been brewing in our mind. Come and see us live if you can, you really don't have anything better to do anyway. EatTheEVIDENCE.com Read more on Last.fm.
