Biography

Born in Plovdiv in 1976, DJ Pepo found out at early age that music is his vocation. He received basic musical knowledge during his accordion and guitar lessons. Before long accordion and guitar were replaced by house gramophone, which appears more interesting. DJ Pepo began to play in local clubs and bars at age of 16q when he realized that his DJ hobby must become a vocational career. Amassing knowledge and experience as a DJ, in 1998 г. together with his friens and colleagues DJ Pacho B and DJ Erik he established ELLECTRICA (www.ellectrica.com). Under this label was arranged a round of parties entirely orientated to house music and house culture, which at the time was not as popular as it is now in Bulgaria. ELLECTRICA invited in Bulgaria such DJs as: DJ Ruby (Malta), DJ Timster (Amsterdam), dr Kucho (Spain), Joeski (NY), Silicone Soul (UK), Tylor Stadius (Canada), Asad Rizvi (UK), Onionz (NY), Nathan Coles (UK), Richard Gray (UK), Paul Jay (Amsterdam), Marco Bonaffini (Belgium), David Amo&Julio Navas (Barcelona,Spain), Djane Carlijn (Amsterdam), Juan Diaz & Sergio Serano (Ibiza), Eddie Richards (UK), DJ Boss (Praha), Paul Jay (Amsterdam), Allan Alert (Ibiza), Richard Gray (UK), DJ Loutka (Praha), DJ Macit (Istanbul), Chris Spiking (London), Harry & Jane (UK), Jean Cedric (Paris), DJane Shiva (Amsterdam), Andrew Kilzer & FrankieTiago (UK), DJ Diesel (Moscow), Clare Large (UK) and many others. DJ Pepo is one of the pioneers in house music in Bulgaria and receives invitations from most of the prestigious clubs all over the country. In 2000 he leaved for Czech Republic, where he has performances during a year. Mecca and Le Clan are just a little part of clubs he played in Prague. DJ Pepo came back in Bulgaria to continue his job in developing of ELLECTRICA and house culture in the country. DJ Pepo and DJ Pacho B established in 2002 DJs’ and artists’ E-booking Agency (www.e-bookingdj.com), which members are the most of the best and popular Bulgarian DJs. E-booking arranges the visits of such DJs as: Eric Entrena (Spain), Nick&Dany Chatelain (Spain), Dario Nunez (Spain), DJ Chus (Spain), Tarkan (Turkey), David Amo & Julio Navas (Spain),Tony Thomas (UK) and many others.. In 2005 both DJs Pacho B and Pepo thanks to "Pacho B, Pepo & Friends Party", originally created by them began to receive monthly residences in the best clubs throughout the country - Chervilo Club (Sofia) and Plazma Club (Plovdiv). During the summer of 2006 DJ Pepo was invited to be a resident of Mania Club (Sunny Beach, Bulgaria) and it is one of the most significant places for DJs to appear. His talent for mixing and perfect selection of music makes him one of the most wanted DJs. Pepo is among that small number of DJs who have regular visits abroad. He played in countries like Czech Republic, Spain, London (UK), Ibiza, Canarian Islands and Macedonia. Pepo’s last ‘passion’ is the new sound recording studio of ELLECTRICA, where he spends most of his time. In 2007 DJ Pacho B and DJ Pepo established their own label "Ellectrica Recordings". The conception of that trade mark is to combine with competence progressive, tech, electro and minimal sound, and thus creating high-grade underground sound (totally characteristic of DJ Pepo’s sets).
