Biography
Crafting lyricism with candid veracity, Brimheim’s brand of indie rock provides the unexpected yet catchy. Imagine the illegitimate love child of Florence Welsh and PJ Harvey — a goth teen who listens to Radiohead and reads Murakami. Articulate phrases run their nails along her day-to-day attempts to decipher the ‘how to’ of happiness. Naturally, an underlying current of anxiety undulates throughout, but occasional flowerings of hope and humor offer a welcome and contrasting fragrance. The forthcoming debut EP, Myself Misspelled, produced by award-winning danish producer, Nis Bysted and Oliver Voltz, will present the Danish/Faroese singer/songwriter through an impressively dynamic range of expressions — dark and volatile guitars, naive drummachines, and the same kind of existential vulnerability that oozes from Mitski and Julia Jacklin’s work.
