They're young and hungry for rock'n'roll, they come from Argentina and have recently shaken all the hottest clubs in and around Buenos Aires to their very foundations -- 42 Decibel is the name of Steamhammer/SPV's latest signing. Their debut album 'Hard Rock'N'Roll (the title says it all about their stylistic direction) has been scheduled for release on June 24th, 2013 (June 21st in Germany and July 2nd in US/Canada). 42 Decibel were founded in January 2010 by drummer Nicko Cambiasso and vocalist/guitarist Junior Figueroa. The band is completed by bassist Chris Towers and rhythm/slide guitarist Billy Bob Riley. 42 Decibel's first 7-track demo saw the light of day in spring 2010 and defined the basis of their sound. Now the band are ready to present their first album 'Hard Rock'N'Roll, recorded with the support of sound engineer Patricio Claypole at the El Attic Studios and mastered by Justin Weis (Papa Roach, The Tubes) at San Francisco's Trakworx Studios. "We're really happy and proud to sign with a label like SPV, and we're grateful to Olly Hahn for his trust in our music," Nicko Cambiasso enthuses, adding, "We also thank our great friend Herko Schmidt, who did so much to make this happen." SPV/Steamhammer product manager Olly Hahn sees great potential in his latest signing, "Much like AC/DC in their very early days, 42 Decibel ooze unbridled enthusiasm which immediately enthrals their fans. In addition, they have a fantastic frontman in vocalist Junior Figueroa, whose raw voice complements the songs perfectly. 42 Decibel are a definite must-hear!"
